Addicting Cucumber Salad aka Tik Tok Torpedos!
These little torpedos are so fun to make! The recipe that went viral was really high calorie. This one is much lighter which makes it ok to be addicted!
Addicting Cucumber Salad (Torpedos!)
This TikTok trend went viral for a reason! Crunchy, delicious and so healthy. The actual recipe that went viral is loaded with fat and spice so I completely changed the sauce to something much lighter. These are so fun to make and they can be addicting. You do need the chopsticks for this so make sure to have them handy!
Ingredients
- 4 Mini Cucumbers
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 tsp Chili Optional- if you want spicy
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Slice off the ends of the cucumbers. Place cucumber in between the chopsticks.
- You are going to slice them diagonally. This won't work if you slice straight. I already tried that and failed 🙂 I like them to be a little thick but feel free to slice whatever size you like.
- Add your cucumbers to a bowl and salt them well. This is going to dehydrate them a bit so that they stay crunchy. Set aside for 30 min-1 hour max.
- In the meantime, grab a small bowl to make your sauce. Mix sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic and if you are using chili. Mix well.
- Once your cucumbers are done dehydrating, rinse them well with water. Add your dressing on top and garnish with sesame seeds.
