Ingredients

  • 1 Box of white cake mix *I recommend white cake for coloring purposes. I used yellow because I prefer that taste but it does interfere with the color.
  • 1 tub Vanilla frosting
  • Red white and blue sprinkles
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Canola oil
  • Red and Blue food dye

Instructions

  • Follow the instructions on the box to make your cake.
  • Once the batter is mixed, divide it into 3 separate bowls
  • Add red food dye to one bowl. Add blue food dye to the other bowl. Mix until you achieve your desired color.
  • Spray bundt pan with non stick butter spray. Add your red batter first.
  • Add the white batter on top of the red batter.
  • Add the blue batter on top of the white batter
  • Bake according to instructions on box (usually 350 at 45 minutes). Test with a toothpick to see if its done.
  • Once your cake is done baking, let it cool down for 20 minutes.
  • Microwave your frosting for 15 seconds.
  • Divide frosting into 3 bowls. Add red food dye to one bowl. Add blue food dye to another bowl. Mix well.
  • Drizzle the frosting over the cake. There is no right or wrong way. Be messy! Have fun!
  • Add your sprinkles on top
