Ingredients
- 1 Box of white cake mix *I recommend white cake for coloring purposes. I used yellow because I prefer that taste but it does interfere with the color.
- 1 tub Vanilla frosting
- Red white and blue sprinkles
- 3 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Canola oil
- Red and Blue food dye
Instructions
- Follow the instructions on the box to make your cake.
- Once the batter is mixed, divide it into 3 separate bowls
- Add red food dye to one bowl. Add blue food dye to the other bowl. Mix until you achieve your desired color.
- Spray bundt pan with non stick butter spray. Add your red batter first.
- Add the white batter on top of the red batter.
- Add the blue batter on top of the white batter
- Bake according to instructions on box (usually 350 at 45 minutes). Test with a toothpick to see if its done.
- Once your cake is done baking, let it cool down for 20 minutes.
- Microwave your frosting for 15 seconds.
- Divide frosting into 3 bowls. Add red food dye to one bowl. Add blue food dye to another bowl. Mix well.
- Drizzle the frosting over the cake. There is no right or wrong way. Be messy! Have fun!
- Add your sprinkles on top
