Heart Shaped Blonde Oreo Truffles
Kid recipe alert! These cute heart shaped Oreo truffles only require 3 ingredients and are easy to make for your special Valentine!
Heart Shaped Oreo Truffles
These cute treats taste just like cake pops but are much easier to make with just 3 ingredients: Blonde Oreos, cream cheese and melting chocolate. They're fun for the kiddos and everyone will love them. I use Blonde Oreos and not regular because if not you will be able to see the dark color come through the light pink chocolate but feel free to use regular if you wish! Make sure you get regular and NOT double stuffed.
Ingredients
- 36 Blonde Oreos
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, Softened
- 16 oz White Chocolate
- Red or Pink Food Dye
- Valentine Sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
- Time to grind the cookies up! Do it in two batches. Place half the Oreos in a food processor (entire cookie, don't remove cream filling) and pulse too fine crumbs. Transfer to a bowl and add the rest of the Oreos to food processor. Once you've done both batches, add them all back to the food processor.** if you don't own a food processor you can place Oreos in a large Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin until finely crushed
- Add in your cream cheese and pulse until well combined.
- Scoop mixture out about 1 Tbsp at a time and form into hearts. I like to do a variety of sizes... some super small, medium and large! You can also do some regular balls as well. Add finished ones to the baking sheet.
- Place baking sheet in the freezer for 1 hour.
- Melt your chocolate in a microwaveable bowl for 30 seconds, give it a stir and another 30 seconds.
- Add in your food dye until you reach your desired color.
- Remove hearts from freezer and dunk into your melted chocolate. Scoop out with a fork and tap the fork so excess chocolate falls off. Place on baking sheet and immediately add sprinkles.
- Allow chocolate to set and enjoy!
