Lillet Blanc Spritz

The rumors are that the classic Aperol spritz is OUT and Lillet is IN. So what exactly is Lillet?
Lillet is a French aperitif wine. The French have been drinking this stuff forever.. not sure why it's suddenly coming to light! It's made from a white Bordeaux wine and has a whopping 17% alcohol so you've been warned my friends. It tastes like a strong white wine- it's very citrus, crispy, floral. Definitely has hints of orange peel and lemon. It's super refreshing and delicious!
The French typically drink it chilled on the rocks with an orange peel which I can confirm is delicious. In this recipe, we turn it into a delicious spritz for the summer. Be sure to plan ahead as this calls for some frozen orange slices. You will need to do that a few hours in advance.
