Low Sugar Honey Garlic Chicken
I love using honey in savory recipes. When you combine that sweetness with some garlic, you know you are in for a treat. This chicken is one of my favorite recipes to keep on my weekly rotation. I'll chop it up and make a lunch bowl with some spinach, brown rice and zucchini. Or for dinner I'll serve it with some jasmine rice and asparagus. Everyone will love it and it's super easy to make!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken breast
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 2 tbs Rice Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbs Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 3 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- On a plate/bowl, lay out your flour and coat each chicken breast on both sides. Place in a greased dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a small mixing bowl, add your vinegar, soy sauce, honey and garlic. Whisk until well combined.
- Pour your sauce over the chicken. Flip each chicken breast over until well coated.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- After the 30 minutes, uncover the chicken. Some of the sauce has likely slipped off at this point so with a small spoon or brush be sure to recoat the chicken. Bake uncovered for another 15 minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds
