What is cowboy butter you ask? It's just butter. It's a compounded butter mixed with herbs and yummy things to give it an exciting flavor. In this case, it gives it a tangy smoky touch reminding you of the Wild Wild West..yeehaw!
How to use it? Girl... its butter. Put it on everything! I originally sliced it and topped my steaks with it but soon started using it for everything. My eggs, rice, toast.. you name it! It works on any savory dish. Some people even melt it and use it as dip for the steak and whatnot. So delicious!

Cook Time 1 hour
Course Side Dish
Servings 1 stick of butter

Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz Unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Chives, Chopped
  • 1 tsp Fresh Thyme, chopped
  • 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • .5 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper optional: if you dont like spicy food leave it out

Instructions
 

  • Gather all of your ingredients. Make sure everything is finely chopped and ready to mix. In a bowl, combine all of your ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • I spooned my butter into a small half dish and let it harden in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. If you want to make a butter log, add your butter to plastic wrap, cover and roll into a log. Refrigerate it and then slice it.
