Spiced Apple Pie Monkey Bread

Gooey rich bites of dough with roasted apples and a hint of pumpkin spice.. what's better?! Monkey bread is a fun recipe to make with the kids and doesn't require much technique. Give it a try for a quick and easy Fall sweet treat.
I like to add nuts to this but its totally optional. Some other yummy additions would be white chocolate or caramel morsels or raisins!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans Biscuit Dough
  • 2/3 cup White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 2 Apples gala, fiji, honeycrisp
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Chopped Pecans optional

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add your white sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until well combined.
  • Cut your biscuit discs into quarters. I like to give them a little roll into a ball because I think it looks cuter when done baking and prevents browning.
  • Add your biscuit pieces into the large bowl and shake/mix together until the dough is coated on all sides. Continue until all pieces of biscuit are coated.
  • Get your bundt pan and spray it with non stick spray. Each can of biscuit dough will be 1 layer. So add the first layer.
  • Chop up the apples into 1 " pieces and spread 1 apple over the first layer of biscuit dough.
  • Add a second layer of biscuit dough followed by the other half of the apples.
  • Add a third layer of biscuit dough.
  • Over your stove sop, get a small saucepan over medium heat. Add your butter and brown sugar. Boil for 1 minute, stirring to make sure its completely incorporated. Pour over your biscuit dough. Top with chopped pecans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
