DISCLAIMER! Guys, my banana bread is not your typical fluffy and light banana bread you may see elsewhere. She is rich, thick, moist. She is beauty she is grace. She thicccc yall. Serves more like a dessert bread pudding than a “bread”. It's VERY dense. . if you do prefer a lighter and nuttier banana bread, I will be releasing a recipe for that soon so stay tuned! I tried this recipe with every type of sugar, more bananas, less bananas, more flour, less flour, semi sweet chocolate, no chocolate. You name it. 100 banana breads later, I decided this was the winner so I hope you enjoy it!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and spray small bread pan with cooking spray.
Place butter and sugar into a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined and add, egg, vanilla, sour cream and bananas mixing well. Stir in flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Mix until just combined.
Gently stir in chopped chocolate by hand. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Lightly sprinkle some more chocolate on top because why not.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, until baked through. Test with a toothpick to make sure. Remove and let cool completely before slicing.
