Easy Shrimp Creole
This Cajun recipe uses the holy trinity of Creole food(celery, pepper, onion) to create a dish bursting with flavor. This recipe is so easy to make and absolutely delicious!

- 1.5 lbs Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tsp Creole Seasoning
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 2 Celery Ribs
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 15 oz Tomato Sauce(No salt added)
- .5 tsp Dried Thyme
- .5 tsp Dried Oregano
- .5 tsp Dried Basil
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Fresh Scallions for garnish
Toss shrimp with 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning and set aside.
Dice your onion, bell pepper and celery. Add to a pan on medium high heat and cook for about 10 minutes until they become glossy. Add in your garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
Add your chicken broth, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, all of your seasonings, bay leaves and the other tsp of Cajun seasoning. Bring to a simmer and then cook on low for about 10 minutes making sure it does not burn. If you see the sauce drying up, add more chicken broth.
Toss in your shrimp and cook for 5 minutes.
Turn over shrimp and cook for another 5 minutes.
Sprinkle scallions on top and serve.
